From my point of view, this helps a lot when you want to control devices that can be controlled only from it’s dedicated remote, and on other room.
Add to that, this device is compatible with a USB cable that can replace it’s default charging cable, and it has two perfect features by measuring:
1. Room Temperature
2. Room Humidity
This cable called ‘Sensor Cable’, it can be ordered together with Broadlink RM4 mini.
You can also set alerts/notification if temperature or humidity reached a set degree and then you can link this alert with other automation or action 😁…

And don’t worry about compatibility with Alexa, SmartThings, Google, iFTTT… It is compatible and you can add it in your automation… I am using it from almost a year, it is perfectly compatible 👍
